Why does a person need to be safe from the alluring attempts of Shaytan?
If you know about Shaytan’s antics and his goal, you might wonder how you can stay safe from the alluring attempts of Shaytan to misguide you. Well, many people also wonder why we Muslims need to stay safe from Shaytan’s alluring attempts. Well, there are two basic reasons why a Muslim needs to do everything they possibly can in order to stay safe from Shaytan’s attempts at misguiding them. The first reason is because the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the Holy Quran and Allah himself advise us to do so. The second reason why we need to do so is because if we give into Shaytan’s attempts at misguiding us, our faith will weaken and, ultimately, we will lose our faith amidst Shaytan’s antics.
How can a person stay safe from the alluring attempts of Shaytan to misguide them?
As mentioned before, the attempts of Shaytan to misguide you will keep occurring. This is a fact that causes many Muslims to wonder how they can stay safe from these attempts that Shaytan makes. The following are some of the easiest ways using which a person can stay safe from the attempts that Shaytan makes at misguiding them:
Dedicate your time and attention to worshipping Allah and performing religious duties
There is a saying which states that “an empty mind is the home of Shaytan”. In addition, a person’s mind is empty when they have a lot of free time and are not paying attention to anything. If a Muslim wants to stay safe from the attempts that Shaytan makes at misguiding them, they will have to dedicate their time and attention to worshipping the Almighty Allah so that Shaytan does not have the slightest chance of distracting them, let alone misguiding them.
Develop a strong will and a strong faith
The stronger a person’s will and faith are, the harder it will be for Shaytan to get into their head and misguide them. This is the reason why, in order to stay safe form Shaytan’s attempts at misguiding them, a person needs to develop a strong will and a strong faith.
Ask Allah for protection
The Holy Quran states that when a person’s mind is besieged by Shaytan, what they need to do is to seek refuge with the Almighty Allah.
